This is actually a false distinction based on marketing hype. A more meaningful distinction would be: Range Cage Code Cage Length Note Wide Range SGS 86 mm center-to-center If you want to use a rear sprocket bigger than 30 teeth, this is the type you must have. The marketeers call this a "mountain" size, but that's a bogus designation. This is what you want for most touring applications. Remove Chainring Without Removing Crank

Actual Tyre Sizes

Maqisi CSM 26-2.125 comes with the Begasso Soldier Folding Full Suspension bicycle. You can get it from Enghongsabah. Actual width is only 1.90 inch. I have bought the Specialized Ground Control Sport 26-2.1 for RM28 at a bicycle shop at Kampung Air, Kota Kinabalu. It's width is correct at 2.1 inch. A smooth tyre from the same shop, Camel 26-1.95 has also the correct width. This tyre is made in Thailand. All tyres are pressurised to 65 psi, their maximum pressures.

Shimano Mega range 7speed Freewheel 14-34T

Shimano Mega range 7speed Freewheel has a maximum of teeth number of 34. Even the highest number of teeth for 12 speed gears can go from 10 to 40, only. The Shimano Mega range can have QR to 34 gear teeth.  It would be better to change chains and groupset but as this YouTube video shows, it is not necessary.  https://youtu.be/ypkF2TZs8KU

Freewheels

Freewheels are no longer developed beyond 7 speeds because they are superseded by Freehub Cassettes, but they are still available cheaply. You can have teeth from 13T to 34T which are what you want from gears. The number of gears only determine the smoothness of shifting, not the range of terrain it can handle. https://www.sheldonbrown.com/harris/freewheels.html Accessories Bicycles Parts Specials Tools View Cart Traditional Thread-On Freewheels This page lists  traditional thread-on freewheels  only, as used on older bicycles.   Most newer bikes use  Cassette Freehubs, see our Cassette page.
