See minute 1:30. It will tell you why you should never preload your coil spring. The bounciness will increase because the spring is not active until the preload force is reached, so no absorption when the forces are small.

Front Hub Fat eBike

Front Hub Fat eBike  https://youtu.be/_X6XgW7FLCA This is my ideal eBike. I don't like the rear wheel hub motor, especially those with gears. The fat tyres can replace the shock absorbers. Just use seat post shock absorbers to improve comfort. Shock absorbers are too heavy. Folding also make bicycles heavy. Just learn how to dismantle the wheels. Not too difficult. The rear whhels are more difficult because we may need to adjust everytime but markers should make the adjustment easier. Not to mention the cost of the shock absorbers and folding mechanism. The front wheel drive makes the bicycle a 2-wheel drive for it to get out of tough roads. Apart from making it easy to install and move to other bicycles. I am thinking of using thin rims for the front tyres for conversion to electric.

The Best Ebike 2020

Wallke Full Suspension Folding Fat Ebike Almost perfect but certainly the best in 2020. Hopefully they can improve it further. With Tesla joining the ebike race, the situation is exciting. The rear motor makes it rear heavy. Steering is better and grip is more certain but most riders or commentors miss the whole point of ebike. Ebike should only assist, not power it on its own. A front motor is also vital for the second most important aspect of ebike, the reliable braking just like ABS in cars. Just as in electric cars, the single pedal to control braking make electric cars safer and easier to drive. Certainly save money on the brake pads although arguable saving on battery consumption. With careful control, coasting is more efficient because regen is never efficient, but a good controller should be able to coast when electrical power is not required to accelerate a car. Unfortunately, poor design gave the impression that brushless and gearless motors provide more friction than free wh

Even when pedalling at a normal  cadence , a huge amount of metal on metal contact is continuously created by the interaction between the chain and the rest of the  drivetrain components . A good chain lube can smooth the chain’s engagement with the cassette sprockets and chainrings, and maintain
