Petagas to Tg Aru 1 Oct2021

Not very clear and shaky but still useable.

Xiamo Redmi Note 8 Pro is not suitable for recording cycling video even at 1080p and supported by a gimbal.

It overheats after half an hour. This video is the firstt half hour before it overheats.

Instead of throwin away the video, I decide to share a smoothed version that should still be useable.

Its gps link is uploaded to Strava and used in RGT Cycling but the free version does not allow the Magic Road to be used.

Kinomap does not accept the quality of video but we can still upload it and use it for our personal use in the free accounnt.

The processing of such shaky video is complicated. It took many days. The settings that I use for the video sectionns is shown below:

You cannot stabilise the video after analysing unless I split it into pieces of less than 5 minutes.

The quality of smoothing is not affected. The reason was due to lack of memory. I have 32 Gbyte of RAM and set aside 200 Gbyte of virtual memory from my hard disk, but the 19 minute video still cannot be stabilised.

Luckily the analysis was possible but once you split the videos, you need to re analyse. Using the GTX1650S graphic card reduces the time to half. Updating drivers reduces the analysis time by 20%.

The best camera for recording the video is Gopro 9 but it is still too expensive for me. I only have Gopro Hero 4 Black. I shall try how it performs on a gimbal.
